Reiki Lineage and Teaching Experience

The Reiki lineage of a teacher is the line of Reiki Masters traced back to the founder of the system of Reiki, Mikao Usui.

Collected on this page is information about my traditional Japanese Reiki lineage, and teaching experience. If you are interested in learning Reiki, I teach two styles: traditional Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho Classes, and non–traditional Western style Usui Reiki Classes.

Usui Reiki Ryoho Lineage — Traditional Japanese Reiki Lineage

Usui Reiki Ryoho is a traditional Japanese branch of Reiki which teaches Reiki following the original methods practiced by the founder of the system, Mikao Usui.

I teach all of my traditional Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho Classes (Shoden, Okuden, and Shinpiden) in accordance with the Usui Reiki Ryoho branch of Reiki.

If you take the traditional Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho Classes with me, which are Shoden LeveI I (first teachings), Okuden Level II (inner teachings), and Shinpiden Level III or Master Level (mystery teachings), then you will take on this Reiki lineage too.

Yadira was trained by Frans Stiene of the International House of Reiki

I took the Usui Reiki Ryoho Shinpiden (Reiki Master) course with Frans Stiene. Together with Bronwen Stiene, Frans has co–authored numerous very well researched books on Reiki (The Reiki Sourcebook, The Japanese Art of Reiki, and others), and together they are founders of the International House of Reiki, a highly renowned traditional Reiki teaching center with the focus on researching and teaching the original system of Reiki, as practiced by Mikao Usui during his lifetime.

I am pleased to be able to show you a few pictures taken during the Shinpiden Reiki Master course I took, including: me together with my classmates at the Shinpiden class with Frans Stiene in New York (Frans is first on the left, very back row; I'm second on the right, second row from front with Janet Dagley Dagley, editor of The Reiki Digest crouching over my shoulder); having dinner after the class with Frans and the other students; and of my Usui Reiki Ryoho Shinpiden certificate (the traditional Japanese Reiki Master certificate).

Yadira's Additional Reiki Teaching Experience

When teaching all of my Reiki classes and workshops, I additionally draw on the experience of several Reiki Masters who provided me with my first introduction to Reiki in 2002 and who taught me to Master Level following the teaching style brought to the West by Hawayo Takata.

Today I teach the Western style Reiki classes exclusively from William Lee Rand's Reiki manuals (which are the class texts) and complement these classes with my own extensive teaching experience which provides the benefit of added insight and perspective without digressing from the original material. (William Lee Rand is the founder of The International Center for Reiki Training.)

The Usui Reiki Ryoho classes I teach exclusively with material that is appropriate to the Usui Reiki Ryoho branch.

Yadira is a School Teacher by Profession

I am a school teacher by profession in a well–known Southern California private school. Nearly 20 years experience in the classroom helps me create the right learning environment in a manner that is structured and professional, yet also relaxed, comfortable, engaging, and of course fun!
