About my Reiki Level I Classes
What is it?
This is a single class that will teach you what you need to know to attain Reiki Level I certification. When you have successfully demonstrated your learning and understanding, I will provide you with your Level I attunement, and you will receive your Reiki Level I certificate.
The class is a combination of lecture, study, and practice time. The number of people in each class will vary, although I do try to keep to smaller groups.
What is involved?
In the Reiki Level I Class, you will learn:
- The history and principles of Reiki
- The Reiki hand positions
- Your first Reiki symbol, which focuses on physical healing
- How to conduct healing sessions
What are the results?
When you successfully demonstrate your learning, you will receive your Level I attunement and be given your Reiki Level I certificate.
After successful completion of this class, you are then required to undergo a period of time for reflection, self–study, and practice. The emphasis for Level I students, is focus on cleansing of the physical body. This is a prerequisite to further advancing your knowledge with the Reiki Level II Class.
Most Reiki teachers recommend that Reiki Level I students allow a period of at least one month for this. The intention is that you spend this time consolidating what you have learnt and gaining first–hand experience and confidence through continued practice, both on your own and together with others.
To help you with this, I also run Reiki Practice Workshops in which students of all levels are invited to come along to practice healings, ask questions, and further develop their skills in Reiki.

Reiki services advertised in Lake Forest will be at my place in Lake Forest, Orange County, California, with easy access from the Santa Ana Freeway (Interstate 5). The full address will be provided to you when your booking is confirmed.

How
Once you have received a confirmation of your booking from me, all you need to do is arrive promptly at the agreed date and time. Please do not be late for class!
Preparation
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a sack lunch and a bottle of water — drinking water is important to help cleanse your body after Reiki. Bring a pencil and notepad to take notes if you need to.
Duration
Each Reiki Level I class usually lasts around 4 to 5 hours, but this can vary.

- OPTIONAL — Professional Reiki I & II Manual (combined — this manual will cover both Reiki I and Reiki II Classes, so you only need to buy once!) “Reiki The Healing Touch” by William Lee Rand USD$23.00 (cheaper than Retail Price + Shipping USD$25.74.) We buy in bulk, so we can pass some of the savings on to you! Please note that this price is for the larger ring bound version which I recommend for classes, and not for the smaller paperback version.
- OPTIONAL (although you will almost certainly want this!) — subject to successful completion of the class: Reiki Certificate of Completion, plus a bound copy of the relevant Reiki Symbols learnt in your class (the symbols are not published in the manual, so I produce these for you separately) USD$5.00
- You are welcome to leave a donation of your choosing at the end of the class which I will share with charity.
What you might pay elsewhere
Others offering this service typically charge around USD$100 for a Reiki Level I Class that includes the necessary learning materials, the Reiki Level I attunement, and certificate of completion. (Quoted prices sometimes do not include all of these things, so please check carefully when making comparisons.)

Typical availability times are shown here. These may become fully booked at any time so please book as early as possible. Please book a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Your booking is confirmed only after you have received a confirmation from me. If your preferred day and time is not shown, the advice is to book anyway! If I can fit you in, I will!
