Tell us of your first Reiki experience: My first experience with Reiki was a Reiki session to reduce stress and recover from cancer. It was amazing and worked immediately.
What drew you to Reiki?: I knew right after getting a Reiki session that it was my life's path. And it's been a wondrous path!!!
How has Reiki changed you?: Reiki has changed me in every way. My life has been so much easier and full of joy and health. I can't imagine not having Reiki in my everyday life.
Where do you think Reiki will lead you?: My hope for Reiki is to help get Reiki to all that need it at a price everyone can afford. I also hope to help as many cancer patients as I can by getting Reiki into cancer centers and hospitals.
Why California Reiki?: California Reiki gave me my start. I believe in Reiki by donation and all the work that California Reiki does.
Tell us something fabulous about your life: Every part of my life is fabulous from family to friends to my life purpose. It's all good.
Anything else you'd like to share in your own words?: I have started Reiki programs at Hoag Hospital's cancer center, Fountain Valley Hospital, and Hanealeh horse rescue. I hope to keep expanding and growing into other areas. I have also started project Free Reiki 4 cancer clinic, offering free Reiki to cancer patients their family members and care givers. I also teach Animal Reiki classes and Reiki classes for kids and teens.
Kerri's Bio: I'm a cancer survivor and so is my mom and sister. We are all alive and I'm grateful. Unfortunately my father passed away from cancer last year. All this has made cancer very personal. I would love to help others heal from cancer and other problems. My ordeal lasted for more than 3 years. Today I am cancer free and feel great. Western medicine healed my physical top layer. But I needed a deeper universal healing. A mind, body, and soul healing. So I decided to learn Reiki. I knew right from the start that I would help those with cancer. So here I am. I have found that Reiki can heal so many ailments and replace negative with positive. I have found teaching Reiki to be very rewarding and fulfilling. I intend to share this wonderful energy for the rest of my life. So far I have seen amazing results. I am still in awe of the power of Reiki's healing energy. On my journey to learn Reiki I realized the cost for a class was more than I could afford at the time. I decided I would charge by donation. I think everyone should be able to enjoy this wonderful gift. The more healers on earth keep us all strong.

Tell us of your first Reiki experience: My first experience with Reiki was in class with Jessica Miller. From all that I had read and heard about healing sessions and attunements, I was expecting something spectacular. Instead, what I experienced was something quiet and subtle. It was relaxing and soothing and left me with a sense of calmness. Admittedly, I was a bit disappointed at first, but upon reflection and observation of my day-to-day life, I realize that perhaps my body/mind/soul (everything but my conscious mind) and the healing powers of Reiki knew that what I needed was the quiet relaxation. Since then, I make it a point to give myself some “Reiki love”... even if for just 5 minutes.
What drew you to Reiki?: There are some things in life that seem to “fall into place” — and for me, Reiki has been one of them. Because of this, I feel like Reiki has been calling to me and only until recently have I finally listened. I thought this was something I'd never be able to do, but here I am.
How has Reiki changed you?: Reiki has changed my life in many subtle but wonderful ways — I apply it to just about everything.
Where do you think Reiki will lead you?: My hope is to help (even in the smallest way) everyone I come into contact with.
Why California Reiki?: I chose California Reiki because we're “on the same page” — I believe in a donation-based business model for Reiki services. I like the East-West balance they have. And, as I said [when we met] at coffee... it just seemed awesome!
Tell us something fabulous about your life: I tried to think of a way to answer this without sounding cliché, but the more thought I gave to this, the more I realize it's the absolute truth... the most fabulous things in my life are my family and friends. I couldn't ask for better people to surround myself with. Life is good — but with them, it's even better.

Tell us of your first Reiki experience: My first experience with Reiki was part of the Reiki I class. It felt very close to my heart and took me into a deep meditative space.
What drew you to Reiki?: Reiki came to me as a gift when I had no idea what Reiki was. When I was going through a major transition in my life and was overwhelmed a friend literally gifted the Reiki I and Reiki II classes to me. The blessing continues.
How has Reiki changed you?: I believe the transformation with Reiki is a continuing process, Reiki helps me to experience new depths in everything and I thrive on the ever unfolding nature of Reiki. Reiki has also taken me on a path of healing myself and all that I come across.
Where do you think Reiki will lead you?: My hope for Reiki is to help get Reiki to as many people as possible affordably. I also hope to work with and help children with autism and similar disorders.
Why California Reiki?: California Reiki is giving me a way to expand and reach out.
Tell us something fabulous about your life: The harmony between my inner being, my clear life purpose and the external happenings keeps me smiling in surprise and gratitude. Every day with all that comes to me I discover more and more of my being and I am able to give, share, and serve from my core more and more. Since the day I learnt Reiki I felt the need and so I include anyone that needs healing in my daily Long Distance Reiki Prayer Process and it has kept growing since and so does my happiness.
Anything else you'd like to share in your own words?: I have been working with a family with an autistic child the past few months. The child has made an amazing progress in a quiet but definite way after a few healing sessions and now interacts more calmly with family members and is willing to speak. I will soon be working with another family with an autistic teenager. I am humbled at the magnitude of the trust that is being placed in me.
Jastej's Bio: All my life I have been a seeker, not really knowing what and why. Outwardly, I was highly successful in academics, high profile technical job, comfortable physical existence, friends and family, but internally I was on a quest, unknown. Then in 2006, Kundalini Yoga and Meditation came into my life, through a friend. Being always open, I took it up. The inward journey began, which led me to Reiki. Receiving it as a gift, and cherishing it as a gift I began sharing it with one and all, for free! The bubbling joy in me continued to crystallize my life purpose and I learned and practiced ‘shunya’ — ZERO-ness based meditative healing practice. I see that each enhances the other and gathers strength and intensity. All of this foundation has become integrated in me and has shaped me uniquely to share, to serve and to heal with my words, touch, and presence. I am eternally grateful and joyous.

Jessica's Bio: Reiki is a modern form of energy medicine that started in Japan that anyone can learn easily in a weekend to use on family, friends, and all areas of your life, even across distances. Jessica Miller is an experienced Reiki Teacher, Technique Innovator and Historian, who welcomes people of all levels of ability and experience to her classes. She has been a senior licensed teacher for the renowned International Center for Reiki Training (reiki.org) since 1995, and has written numerous articles, many of which appear on her website Reikimastery.com She wrote Reiki's Birthplace: A Site Guide to Kurama Mountain, Japan and has studied with Reiki masters in both Japan and America. She encourages questions, and encourages students to use intuition, and their own experience to find their own answers. Her classes are informal, fun and informative, including both traditional Reiki, and many techniques and applications that she has developed.

Tell us of your first Reiki experience: I have been on a spiritual journey since 1991. I have experienced some incredible workshops, retreats, and avidly sought metaphysical literature, etc. In a nutshell I was seeking. In 1998 I went to an Adult Education class about Reiki. When I read the bio it seemed to jump out to me. When I went to the lecture, I felt a stirring in my ‘gut’ that this was my next step and I was going to do all 3 levels so I could teach others this incredible and easy way to help themselves and others. What I felt during that info lecture was calmness, warmth, bringing inner peace and well being.
What drew you to Reiki?: I knew I was looking for something, not knowing what. The timing was right and I knew I would be able to help others to transform and welcome their true self.
How has Reiki changed you?: I have incorporated Reiki into all of my daily living experience. I send Reiki to all my family members about everyday. I Reiki all my food I cook, energize the water I drink, Reiki my car before driving, etc. I tell my students, “If you think something is out of sync use those wonderful Reiki hands and everything falls into place”.
Where do you think Reiki will lead you?: My hope is to be able to help those who are ready to grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Why California Reiki?: To me California Reiki comes from integrity and a way to reach the community.
Tell us something fabulous about your life: The most fabulous thing about my world is knowing that my eight children are healthy, wholesome and all have BIG hearts. Somehow each evolved into their own personalities with love and a genuine sense of why they are here. I am so grateful for their presence in my life. I feel very blessed and grateful for my husband, children and our sixteen grandchildren.

Tell us of your first Reiki experience: Along my path, searching for spiritual growth, I took a class called Life Works. In this class we studied meditation, chakras and manifestation, among other metaphysical things. The facilitator of the class was also a Reiki practitioner. Since almost all of us in the class were very intrigued by Reiki, she found a Reiki master to teach us our First Degree of Reiki. It seemed to be the natural next step on my journey. The room where we had gathered for Life Works was the same place we took our Reiki I class. On the day of the class when I walked into the room I could immediately feel the difference in the energy level. Throughout the course of the day and especially during the attunements I could actually feel the energy. I was in awe of its radiance. For the first time I could actually feel that there was more to life than I knew.
What drew you to Reiki?: From a young age I have been drawn to healing through alternative medicine. When I felt the energy of Reiki and saw and felt the effects it has on people and animals, I knew it would be a part of my life forever. I feel more like Reiki found me!
How has Reiki changed you?: It is hard to explain without filling up this whole page, but Reiki has brought a peace to my life that I did not know existed.
Where do you think Reiki will lead you?: In addition to the goodness that Reiki brings to me in my personal life, I know that it will lead me to those who are in need or seeking Reiki for themselves and others.
Why California Reiki?: I absolutely LOVE that California Reiki offers Reiki on a donation basis! We are all taught that anyone and everyone can be attuned to Reiki. I believe that the ability to receive Reiki should not be hindered by the amount of money one can pay. Offering Reiki on a donation basis makes it more accessible for those seeking Reiki and eliminates any feelings of indebtedness or guilt.
