About Chujiro Hayashi
Chujiro Hayashi (1879 — 1940) is generally considered the main disciple of Mikao Usui and responsible for turning Reiki into a medical practice.
Hayashi was a naval physician, and employed Reiki to treat his patients.
Hayashi initiated Hawayo Takata, who brought Reiki to the USA.
